The Howelsen Hill tennis and pickleball courts will undergo maintenance from Monday and will be closed to the public while the work is scheduled to end on July 31. The courts will reopen on August 1, according to a press release from the city. of Steamboat Springs.
The city contracted with Coatings, Inc. of Arvada to complete the filling and sanding of the cracks and to add layers of adhesive fabric to prevent the cracks from reforming. The repair system will distribute the stress from the cracks over a wider area, making it difficult for new cracks to form, the statement said.
The courts will be finished with a new coat of paint.
