was delighted to be able to present a cheque for £600 to Macmillan Cancer Support at its meeting last wednesday (11th June). The money was raised by the club through its very succesful fundraising programme.
The presentation was one of the last acts of the Rotary year for club President Alan Humphreys.
He will be handing over to the incoming president Richard Johnson at a lunch later this month.
Alan said
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my year and the presentation of this cheque is yet another indication that the town of Clevedon
has a vibrant and active Rotary club making a real difference to local, national and international projects and charities."
The club is still seeking to attract new members for the forthcoming Rotary year where, amongst other events, it will again be running
the succesful Clevedon Proms evening, in the autumn, and the 2nd Go Kart grand prix, a chance for clubs, companies or teams of individuals, to support local charities whilst having a competitive yet fun afternoon.
