Clevedon, population 23 000, is situated on the the Bristol Channel Coast and was once a hillside settlement. It became a very popular Victorian seaside resort and has many fine examples of architecture from that era, some of which are shown below. Clevedon can be reached easily from the M5 motorway (junction 20) and the nearest mainline railway station is 4 miles away in Yatton.
