New Year Swimmers and "Extreme" Ironing

Fourteen members of the Middle Yeo Surf Life Saving Club braved 6 foot waves, when they took their annual New Year's plunge into the Bristol Channel. A large crowd came to witness the event, with swimmers aged from 12 years, Matthew Morgan, to 74 years, Enid Becker. Charlie Copp can be seen doing some "extreme" ironing in the freezing water. A collection was made by the swimmers and money raised will be donated to the planned Children's Hospice South West at Wraxall.
